Unfortunately the event is now sold out.

Our use of plastics is generating huge amounts of data. What if we could make better use of that to help reduce waste?

SAP UKI has announced plans to work with partners to pilot a “Plastics Cloud” to collect existing and live data from across the plastics supply chain to spark new ideas for waste reduction.

The idea is the result of a user-led project run in collaboration with Design Thinkers Academy London and with support from other major global businesses. They looked at how technology and design thinking could combine to help find new solutions.

At this forum new ethnographic research from the project, as well as prototypes and the concept of the Plastics Cloud will be shared. The event at the London Design Festival is hosted by Unilever.

The agenda includes:
A 10-minute documentary from ex-BBC correspondent, Daniel Boettcher; prototype demonstrations from Stephen Jamieson, Head of SAP Leonardo, David Kester, Founder of Design Thinkers Academy London, and Sophie Thomas, sustainability designer. The panel discussion will be chaired by Julie Hill, Chair of WRAP.
